COLUMBIA -- Services for James E. McDowell will be at 1 p.m. today in the chapel of Riser & Son with the Rev. Shane Duke officiating. Burial will be in Old Bethel Cemetery, Clarks.
McDowell, 75, of Grayson died Friday, Oct. 29, 1993, in Citizens Medical Center, Columbia.
He was a retired carpenter.
Survivors include one son, Mitchell McDowell of Metairie; three brothers, Gerald McDowell and Clayton McDowell, both of Grayson, and Carlos McDowell of Texas; and four sisters, Geneva Thompson and Jeddie Alford, both of Columbia, Evelyn Bratton of Kelly and Mary Ruth Etheridge of Grayson.
Pallbearers will be Jack Dortch, Aubrey Peterson, Cliff Peterson and Luther Hall.
