Celebration of Life services for Jimmy Tyler, 72, will be held Wednesday, September 10, 2014, at 12:00 noon at Northwest Louisiana Veterans Cemetery, Keithville, LA.
The family would like to welcome guests for visitation Tuesday, September 9, 2014, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at Rose-Neath Southside Chapel.
Jimmy was born December 5, 1941 in Shreveport, LA. He lost the fight September 7, 2014 following a tragic car accident. Jimmy served in the US NAVY during Vietnam. He retired from Rountree Olds/Brock’s Collision after 30 plus years of dedicated service. After retirement, Jimmy enjoyed spending his days at Walsworth Collision and Lloyd’s Towing Service. He was a Christian man that loved life, his family and friends, playing golf, and tinkering with cars.
Left to cherish the wonderful memories are his wife of 52 years, Mary Tyler; daughter, Terri Horton and husband David; granddaughter, Brittany Horton Nelson and husband Michael; grandson, Cameron Horton; great grandson on the way; Ginger McCoy and family; many wonderful friends.
Honoring Jimmy as pallbearers will be David Horton, Cameron Horton, Michael Nelson, Allen Walsworth, Sam Cooksey, and Stevie Evans.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to your charity of choice.
The family would like to express warm gratitude to the SICU staff of University Heath for their care and compassion.
