Services for James E. Farrington, age 89 of Olla will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday, March 31, 2006 from the Pine Hill Baptist Church in Urania with Rev. David McGuffee and Rev. Ed Smith officiating. Interment will follow in the Adams Cemetery west of Kelly.

Mr. Farrington was born in Plain Dealing on December 19, 1916 to the union of Hamp and Mollie Petty Farrington and died Tuesday, March 28, 2006 at his residence in Olla. He was a retired auto mechanic and worked at Urania Motor Company in Urania for thirteen years. He was also a veteran of World War II having in the Army. He was a member of the Pine Hill Baptist Church where he taught Sunday School and sang in the choir.

Survivors include his wife of sixty years, Bessie Lea Dunn Farrington of Olla; his son and daughter-in-law, Ronnie and Gladys Farrington of Olla; his daughter and son-in-law, Sandra Sue and Curtis Wilson of Alvin, TX; his grandchildren, Sherri Wilson Booz and her husband, Benjamin, Jeffery Wayne Wilson and his wife, Laura, Lea Ann Simons and her husband, Lyndell Ray, Sandra Michelle Gremillion and her husband, Ken, Ronnie Dale Farrington, II and his wife, Cathy and Eric Christopher Farrington; thirteen great grandchildren; his sisters, Thelma Olson of Shreveport, Carrie Smith of Natchez, MS and Lucille Barnes of Minden.

Pallbearers will be Jeff Wilson, Curtis Wilson, Ron Farrington, Eric Farrington, Jimmy McCartney and C.H. Boyd.

Visitation will be Thursday from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Riser Funeral Home, Hwy 165, Olla and Friday from 9:00 AM until services at Pine Hill Baptist Church.
