JAMES H. MIDDLETON
James H. Middleton Sr., 70, Route 7, Laurel, died Wednesday at the Jones County Community Hospital annex after an extended illness.
The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday from the chapel of Memory Chapel with the Rev. Lavon Holifield and the Rev. Fred Breland officiating. Burial will be in the Hinton Cemetery in Jones County.
He was a native of Jones County and was a retired farmer.
He is survived by five daughters, Mrs. Louise Cochran, Euliss, Texas, Mrs. Cecil (Maurine) Ward, Laurel, Mrs. Richard (Paula) Lilly, Monroe, La., Mrs. Otho (Sybil) Toombs and Mrs. Tommy (Maxine) Oakes, both of Pasadena, Texas; 10 sons, Rufus L. Middleton, Heidelberg, Bobby Joe Middleton, Texas, James H. Middleton Jr., Baltimore, Md., Charles R. Middleton, Foley, Ala., Master Sgt. Billy R. Middleton and Sgt. Richard Earl Middleton, both stationed in Germany, and Thomas R. Middleton, Donald E. Middleton, Robert G. Middleton and Dennis Wayne Middleton, all of Laurel; two sisters, Mrs. Ada Moore, Laurel, Mrs. Pearl Keith, Foley, Ala.; two brothers, Walter L. Middleton and Charles F. Middleton Sr., both of Laurel; 34 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
The pallbearers will be Joe Pat Langley, J. L. Langley, James McBay, Vondell Mosley, Charles Middleton Sr. and Ransom Holloway.
Memory Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
