HARRISONBURG (Special) -- Funeral services for James Horace Taylor, 67, town marshal of Harrisonburg, were held at 10 a.m. today at the First Baptist Church, with the Rev. Joe Broadway officiating, asssisted [sic assisted] by the Rev. J. T. Massey.
Burial was in Harrisonburg cemetery under direction of Young's Funeral Home of Ferriday.
Mr. Taylor died after a heart attack here Wednesday.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Birdie Taylor; a son, James H. Taylor Jr., Beaumont, Tex.; three daughters, Mrs. Marie Bradford, Walters; Mrs. Kathleen Fowler, Shreveport; Mrs. Cherrie Jean Nichols, Alexandria; two sisters, Mrs. Clara Bankston, Harrisonburg, Mrs. Lola Hendrix, Baton Rouge; a brother, Howard Taylor, Beaumont; and 11 grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Evon Haygood, Buddy Hackney, Lawrence Bankston, J. W. Ford, Doyle Ray Ford and Elmo Ford.
