Graveside services for James Howard Miller will be held today at 1 p.m. at Brightwater Cemetery with the Rev. Jon Brown officiating. James F. Webb Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Miller, 80, of Meridian, died Thursday, April 5, 2007, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and served in World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Tommie Miller of Thomasville, Ala.; a son, James H. Miller Jr. and his wife, Karen, of Jacksonville, Fla.; daughters, Dimerous Hatcher and her husband, Terry, of Birmingham, Ala. and Connie Wright and her husband, David, of New Brockton, Ala.; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Loriane [sic Loraine] Day Miller and his parents, Buck Miller and Lyda McCarty Miller.
Visitation will be today from 10 a.m. - 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
