BERNICE (Special) -- J. I. Lee, 91-year-old resident of Bernice, died at his home here Tuesday following a long illness. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Alabama Methodist Church with the Rev. Abe Connelly officiating.
Interment followed in Weldon Cemetery under direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home.
Survivors include the widow, Mrs. J. I. Lee, Bernice; five sons, LeRoy, Roneal, Eustace and Raymond Lee, all of Bernice and David Lee of Lilly; four daughters, Mrs. Jennie Shiry, Greenville, Miss.; Mrs. Myra Shiry, Mrs. Minnie Thurman and Mrs. Irene Glover, all of Bernice; three brothers, Ham and J. A. Lee, both of Bernice; J. D. Lee, Bossier City; two sisters, Mrs. Celia Jinks, Vidalia and Mrs. Lula Coleman, Meadville, Miss.; 34 grandchildren and 54 great grandchildren.
