Funeral Service for Mr. Johns, 89, of Winnsboro, LA will be 2:00 PM, Saturday, January 3rd, 2015 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Winnsboro, La., with Father James Nellikunnel officiating. Visitation will be at Young's Community Memorial Funeral Home Friday, January 2nd, 2015 from 5:00P.M. til 9:00. Interment will follow at Ogden Cemetery.
Mr. Johns, a retired building contractor in Baton Rouge and WWII Army Veteran, was born on December 25th, 1925, passed away December 29th, 2014 in Winnsboro, LA.
He is preceded in death by his parents; Warren and Evie Johns, wife; Annie Causey Johns, daughter; Kathi ‘Becki’ Johns and Grandmother; Lena Francis Young.
Survivors include his daughters; Cindy Johns and Lori Johns Lafferty, Grandchildren; Nathan Mixon, Warren Mixon, Jim Dawson and wife Jessica, Aimee Dawson, Ashley Dawson Foretich and husband Josh, Caleb Moinot and wife Stephanie, Missy Lafferty, Jordan Lafferty, Jennifer Lafferty, Great-Grandchildren; Brady Dawson, Abbey Dawson, Caleb James Moinot, Joshua Moinot, Sam Moinot, Kira Mixon, Kami Mixon, Ava Foretich and Austin Fairchild, Brother; Edward Johns and Aunt; Sarah Erskin.
Pallbearers are; Kent Bennett, Kerry Bergeron, Jeffery Lafferty, Warren Mixon, Jim Dawson and Caleb Moinot. Honorary Pallbearers will be Roy Cobb and Anthony Johns.
The family would like to thank the most wonderful caregivers we could ever have; Consulla Knox, Perria ‘ReRe’ Carradine, Sequanna Marzell, Lydia Bradshaw and also Hospice TLC.
