JAMES JOHNSON ``J.J.'' MCDANIEL
James Johnson ``J.J.'' McDaniel, resident of Horseshoe Bay, known as J.J., passed this life March 10, 1995.
He moved to Horseshoe Bay in 1977, after retiring from Mobil Oil Company in Midland. He was a member and elder of Trinity
Presbyterain Church in Midland. He was team Captain of several high schools and Daniel Baker College, and was also a referee of high school and college football games in Central Texas many years. He was an avid golfer entering into civic affairs of Horeshoe Bay.
He married Alice Earl Anderson of Gatesville, Texas in 1936, who predeceased him in 1975.
He married Wilma Milburn Turner in 1983 in Marble Falls, Texas, who survives him. He is also survived by two daughters, Joana Laws of La Jella, California, and Susan Spindle and husband, David of Humble, Texas; two grandsons, John Spindle and wife Stacie and Jake Laws; three granddaughters, Shelly Spindle Martin and husband, John, Nancy Spindle and Lisa Laws; also three great-grandchildren; two step-daughters, Nancy Collins of Greenville, South Carolina, and Brenda Gaines of Abernathy, Texas.
Funeral arrangements are being conducted by Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home. Services directed by Reverend Ken Forshee of the Church of Horseshoe Bay Protestant at 11:00 a.m., Monday, March 13, 1995. Graveside rites in Gatesville Cemetery, Gatesville, Texas at 3:00 p.m.
