Funeral services for James L. Dorman, Jr., 84 of West Monroe will be at 10:00AM on Thursday, March 27th, 2008, in the Chapel of the Kilpatrick Funeral Home with Rev. John Dallalio officiating. Interment will follow at Twin Cities Memorial Gardens under the direction of the Kilpatrick Funeral Home of West Monroe with Rev. Greg Green officiating.

Born April 25th, 1923, in Franklin Parish, LA, he passed away March 24th, 2008, in Monroe, LA. A US Army veteran of World War II, Mr. Dorman was a retired automobile mechanic and a member of the New Chapel Hill Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Florence Dorman; his beloved wife, Mary A. Dorman in 1989; 2 sisters, Pauline McMurry [sic McMurray] and Elaine Pialette [sic Pailette]; daughter-in-law, Gwen Dorman and son-in-law, Daryl Henry.

Survivors include 3 daughters, Sharon Davis and husband, Carl, Linda Head and husband, Ken, and Deborah Henry; 2 sons, Jimmy and Danny Dorman; 6 grandchildren, Beverly Boles, Carl Davis, Jr., Misty Torres, James Bryan Head, Sherry Stryon, and Ed Stryon; 2 great grandchildren, Vanessa Melger and Valdermar Torres; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Pallbearers are Keith Sandford, Taylor Coulter, John Joseph, Tom Perkins, Thomas Wilder, and Tim Doughty.

Visitation will be 5:00 P.M. until 8:00PM on Wednesday, March 26, 2008, at Kilpatrick Funeral Home of West Monroe.
