James L. Rayner Sr.
ELLISVILLE -- Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Victory Hill Baptist Church for the Rev. James L. Rayner Sr., 67, of Ellisville, who died Sept. 20, 2006, at South Central Regional Medical Center.
Burial will be in Eastview Baptist Church Cemetery in Laurel.
Mr. Rayner was a retired minister and a member of Victory Hill Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Lillian Rayner; and two sons, James Allen Rayner and Mark Roland Rayner.
Survivors include his wife, Alice Faye “Lucky” Rayner of Ellisville; four sons, James L. Rayner Jr. and James Timothy Rayner, both of Laurel, and Derek Allen Rayner and Troy L. Rayner, both of Ellisville; a daughter, Laura Amanda Rayner Waite of Ellisville; three sisters, Betty Jones of Laurel and Mary Burnett and Gatha Purvis, both of Ellisville; and four grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. today at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Laurel.
