JAMES L. (JIM) McQUILLIN
James L. (Jim) McQuillin, 75, of Richland, MS died Thursday, January 10, 2008. Funeral services will be held at Mulhearn Funeral Home in Winnsboro, LA at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 13, 2008 with Rev. Marion Collier officiating.
Jim retired from Mississippi Power & Light/Entergy in 1992 after 39 years of service. During his employment with Entergy he lived in Vicksburg, Tunica, Brookhaven, and Monticello. He honorably served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict and was deployed to Korea for a year. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Richland, MS. He was preceded in death by his parents, Virgil and Lucille McQuillin of Crowville, LA, and brother, Leroy McQuillin of Winnsboro, LA.
He is survived by his wife, Sarah McQuillin, son, Jimmy McQuillin and wife Jackie, of Nederland, TX, and daughters Lisa Tracy and husband John of Whippany, NJ and Julie Cobb and husband Steve of Florence, MS, grandchildren, Jacob, Jeremy, Ryan, Linda and Charlien McQuillin of Nederland, TX, Anthony and Sara Bella Prizzi of Whippany, NJ, and Katie Cobb of Florence, MS and four great grandchildren. Jim was dearly loved by his family. He is also survived by his sisters, Eloise Jackson of Monroe, LA and Gloria Taylor and husband Preston of Winnsboro, LA. Jim is also survived by a number of nieces, nephews, brother's and sister's-in law, and cousins as well as a host of great friends.
Visitation will held from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 12, 2008 at Mulhearn Funeral Home--Winnsboro, LA.
