James Madison Corley, Jr.

James Madison Corley, Jr. 89, of Hot Springs, peacefully passed away on Saturday September 19, 2009, surrounded by his loving family. He was born September 23, 1919, in El Dorado, AR. to James Madison and Mary Belle Corley Sr. James met and married the love of his life, Dixie Lee in Anchorage, Alaska and it was a union that lasted for over 65 years.
James served his country for over 37 years in the U.S. Air Force and the Air National Guard.
He was predeceased by his loving wife Dixie Lee, brother, Thurston L. Corley and 2 sisters Marie Harris and Frances Want.
Survivors include son, Ronald L. Corley of Little Rock, daughter and son-in-law Sheryl and Jon Nelson of Houston, Texas, daughter and son-in-law Marilyn and Joe Johnson of Hot Springs, grandchildren, Jimmy Lee Freeze (Tammie), Lara James (Lee), Melody Connelly, Jeri Kay Hammonds (Eric), Kristi McFarland (Jeff) , Rhonda Nguyen (Linh), Jon Michael Nelson (Rhonda), great grandchildren, James Freeze, Allen Wygal, Chris Connelly, Kaylee Wilson, Hunter Nguyen, Austin Nelson, Peyton Wilson, Samuel McFarland, Garett Nguyen, Brandon Nelson, Nathan McFarland, Tristen Hammonds, Rhett James and Sophia McFarland, great great grandchildren, Sean Connelly and Landon Freeze.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m ., Tuesday at Gross Funeral Home with Bro. Joe Bob Smith officiating.
Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Monday.
Burial will be at Oakland Cemetery in Fordyce, AR.
