James M. Richardson To Be Buried Today

MAGEE -- James M. Richardson, 91, died Thursday afternoon, after a long illness.

He was a prominent, retired Simpson county farmer. A member of the Baptist church, Richardson was very active in community and civic affairs before illness forced his retirement.

Funeral services will be held from Sharron church near Magee at 11 o'clock Saturday morning with the Rev. G. O. Parker, the Rev. C. O. Estes, the Rev. Cortes Sellers, and the Ref. J. D. Smith officiating. Interment will be in the Sharron cemetery with Mims-Mitchell in charge of arrangements.

Survivors are seven daughters, Mrs. E. J. Huff, Mt. Olive; Mrs. Earnest Flynt, Pascagoula; Mrs. Fannie Brownlee, Paradise, Calif.; Mrs. E. T. McAlpin, Magee; Mrs. Terry Counsel, Memphis, Tenn.; Mrs. Annie Fortenberry, Osyka; Mrs. Rosa B. Coleman, Magee; six sons, S. L. Richardson, Poplarville; F. S. Richardson, Mt. Olive; W. M. Richardson, Paradise, Calif.; the Rev. J. C. Richardson, Thomasville, Ga.; T. F. Richardson, New Haven, Conn.; C. F. Richardson, Jackson; 47 grandchildren, 51 great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be nephews.
