Benton Boy Killed By Own Gun in Woods

SELMA, ALA. Dec. 30 -- Malcolm Rolen, age 1_ of Benton was instantly killed this afternoon when his gun discharged while in the woods. The boy leaves a mother, father and one brother. Funeral services will be conducted Friday morning.

Alabama Boy Killed While Rabbit Hunting

Selma, Dec. 31 -- While out hunting rabbits Thursday morning, Malcolm Rolen, the 12 year old son of E. B. Rolen, a prominent citizen of Benton, Dallas county, accidentally met his death. In some manner the gun was discharged and the entire top of his head was blown off by the load from the gun. The lifeless body of the lad was found by a searching part which was organized after he had failed to show up at his home after the usual time.
