JAMES MALVIN PRESCOTT

James Malvin Prescott, 67, of Hondo passed away May 28, 1981, at Medina Memorial Hospital.

Born April 6, 1915, in Mendin [sic Minden], La., he was the son of James and Etta Schweers Prescott who precede him in death.

Prescott was a rancher and had lived in Hondo for many years. He was a member of Baptist Antioch Church in Minden, La.

He is survived by four sisters, Mrs. Mavis Aldrich and Mrs. Dorothy Embrey of Hondo, Hazel Prescott of Luling and Cascille Weeden of Turlock, Calif.; and several nieces and nephews.

Services were held Sunday, May 31, at 2 p.m. at Oakwood Cemetery, with Rev. Bert Clayton of the First United Methodist Church officiating. Interment was in Oakwood Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Clyde Jackson, Bruce Gray, Jack Hartung, Kenneth Flory, Bob Nations, and Mac Santillano.

Funeral arrangements were directed by Guinn-Horger Funeral Home, Hondo.
