James Monroe Cruse
Graveside services for James Monroe Cruse, 70, of Doyline were held Sunday at Lone Cedar Cemetery with the Rev. Bobby Brown officiating.
Interment followed under the direction of Community Memorial Funeral Home of Winnsboro.
Mr. Cruse died Thursday, Aug. 12, 1993 at his residence after a sudden illness. He was a resident of Doyline, past resident of Winnsboro and retired shipping clerk with Sears Department Store. Mr. Cruse retired from the U.S. Army having served in WWII and Korean Conflict, and was a member of the American Legion Post # 0388.
Survivors include one daughter, Diedre Cruse, Baton Rouge; one son, James Christopher Cruse, Winnsboro; three sisters, Marie Ross, Marvee Chesney, and Joyce Fain, all of Winnsboro; three brothers, Reggie Cruse, Jack Cruse, both of Winnsboro; and Lemmie Cruse, Jacksonville, Fla.; also survived by a host of nieces and nephews.
