James O. Roberts
Mr. James O Roberts, age 82, of Winnfield, La., passed away Thursday, November 25, 2004, at the Winn Parish Medical Center in Winnfield, La. He was a member and Deacon of the Crossroads Baptist Church in Winnfield. Mr. Roberts served his country in the Navy during World War II and the Korean War.
He is survived by his
Two Sons, Michael Roberts and his wife Kathryn of Winnfield, La. Charles (Charlie Red) Roberts of Winnfield, La.;
One Sister, Elizabeth Zimmerman of Winnfield, La.;
One Brother, Harold Roberts and his wife Mary of Winnfield, La.;
Seven grandchildren Dustin, Andrew, Matthew, Catherine Nicole, and Andrea Roberts; Kurt and Kyle Boyd.
Mr. Roberts was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie B. and Mattie (Mott) Roberts; his wife of 44 years, Alice Catherine (Strange) Roberts; two brothers, Huey and Thomas Roberts; and two sisters, Mona Ruth Rainwater and Mary Belle Hannegan.
Services are under the direction of Southern Funeral Home of Winnfield, La.. The family will receive friends at the Crossoroads Baptist Church on US Highway 84 E from 4:30 PM until time of services Friday. Funeral services will be held at Crossroads Baptist Church at 2:00 PM Saturday, November 27, 2004 , with Rev. Lee Mack Robertson and Rev. Willis Russell officiating. Interment will be at Crossroads Baptist Church Cemetery near Winnfield, La.
