James Pepper

Services for James Pepper, age 83 of Olla will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, March 22, 2006 from the chapel of Riser Funeral Home in Olla with Rev. James Simons officiating. Interment will follow at Old Hebron Cemetery west of Grayson.

Mr. Pepper was born July 31, 1922 in Sikes, Louisiana. He died Tuesday March 21, 2006 at the Alexandria VA Medical Center.

He was a retired oilfield worker with Justiss Mears. He was also a veteran of World War II having served in the Army. He was an avid hunter and fisherman who was a member of the Fox Branch Hunting Club.

He was preceded in death by his parents and eleven brothers and sisters.

Survivors include his great nephew Curtis McNaughton and his wife Margie of Olla, and a host of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be friends and nephews. Visitation will be Wednesday from 9 a.m. until time of service at Riser Funeral Home, Hwy 165, Olla, LA.
