James P. Jordan

Services for James P. Jordan will be at 2 p.m. today in St. Rita's Catholic Church with Monsignor Joseph M. Susi officiating. Burial will be in Alexandria Memorial Gardens under direction of John Kramer & Son.

Jordan, 74, of Alexandria died at 12:10 a.m. Sunday in Rapides General Hospital.

He was a general service engineer in World War II. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, American Legion and the National Association of Postmasters. He was a former postmaster of Alexandria.

Survivors include his wife, Maude J. Jordan of Alexandria; three sons, Dr. J. Perry Jordan of Orland Park, Ill., U.S. Air Force Capt. Richard M. Jordan of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Robert J. Jordan of Homestead Air Force Base, Fla.; one sister, Annie Rene Blu[m]e of Lake Charles; and four grandchildren.

Friends may call until 1:30 p.m today in the funeral home.
