James Odom, 62

OAKDALE, La. -- James Richard Odom, 62, died at 11:20 a.m. Friday in the Oakdale Infirmary following a short ailment.

He was a life-long resident here and member of the First Baptist church. He was an employe of Scott-Cain Motor Co.

Funeral services were to be held at 3 p.m. today at the First Baptist church, with Rev. H. P. Sullivan, pastor, officiating. Burial was to be in Cryer Cemetery under the direction of Ardoin Funeral Home.

Survivors include: three daughters, Mrs. Bill Roberts, Marshall, N.C., Mrs. Peyton Conway of Brownsville, Texas, Mrs. Lee Dunn of Marshall, Texas; one son, J. R. Odom Jr. of Oakdale; three sisters, Mrs. D. A. Garland, Mrs. J. A. Rhoner, Mrs. T. J. Lewis, all of Oakdale and seven grandchildren.
