James R. Jacob
James R. Jacob, passed away on January 11, after a brief illness. He was 70 years old.
Jim was born in Kohler, Wisconsin, and graduated from the University of Wisconsin with a business degree in accounting. After many years working as a CPA in the large business environment, he founded Gulf States Beauty Supply in Jacksonville in 1977. He retired in 1990 to enjoy his family, the outdoors, golf and the Jaguars.
He is survived by his loving wife, Virginia, her children, Lee Armbrester Jr., (Dawn), and Victoria Parks (Ken), his children, Jennifer Swoboda (Mike), Peter (Cindy), Laura Waller (Mike), and 10 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, January 15th in the chapel of HARDAGE-GIDDENS FUNERAL HOME, 4115 HENDRICKS AVE., with Father John Palarine officiating. Interment will follow in Oaklawn Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Monday, January 14th from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Funeral Home.
Jim will be remembered, by his family, friends, and business associates as a witty, fun loving, honest, and fair person. We will miss you Always.
