Funeral services for James Roland Davidson, 56, of Altoona, AL will be at 10:00 AM Friday, July 30, 2010, at Hixson Brothers Chapel with Bro. Stan Davidson and Bro. Curtis Thornton officiating. Interment will follow at the Nebo Cemetery under the direction of Hixson Brothers Funeral Home of Jena. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 10:00 PM Thursday July 29, 2010, at the funeral home.
Roland was born January 14, 1954 in Jena to the union of Harvey Preston Davidson and Johnnie Girlinghouse Davidson and passed from this life on July 27, 2010 at Shepherd's Cove Hospice in Marshall County, AL.
Roland is survived by his wife, Denise Davidson; Step Daughters, Suzanne Austin and Tammy Camp; Step Grandchildren, Toby Cash and Macy Camp; Brothers and Sisters-in-law, Preston and Angie Davidson, Stan and Cheryl Davidson; Sister and Brother-in-law, Denise and James Gulde and Best Friend, Charlie Roark.
He was preceded in death by his parents Harvey Preston and Johnnie Davidson.
Pallbearers will be Bret McGlaun, Michael Thomas, Kyle Cook, Charlie Davidson, Donnie Munson, and Brandon Manning.
