James Tolbert

Mr. James R. Tolbert, 87, of Salem, KY died Monday, December 25, 2006 at Salem Springlake Health & Rehab Center.

He was born June 7, 1919 in Atlanta to the late Elder Eugene Tolbert and Sophia Noland Tolbert. He was a retired Tupperware distributor, Mason, Shriner, and was a U.S. Navy Veteran.

In addition to his parents, his wife, Eddie Mae Carpenter Tolbert, preceded him in death.

The funeral is Friday, December 29, 2006 at 11:00 AM in the chapel of McKoon Funeral Home with Rev. Frank Powers officiating. Burial will follow at Westview Cemetery in Atlanta.

He is survived by daughters, Susan Hendrick of Sharpsburg, GA, Jamie Hardin of Hampton, KY; son, Ron Tolbert of Williamsburg, VA; sister, Lois Willis of Douglasville, GA; brother, Bill Tolbert of Miami, FL; grandchildren, Brandon Tolbert, Brittany Tolbert, Ashley Hendrick, Corey Hendrick, Marley Hardin, MacKenzie Hardin; nieces and nephews.
