James Green

Funeral services for James Thomas Green, 68, were held at the Nowell Chapel with the Revs. Danny Bryant and Olen Roberts officiating. Burial followed in the Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Nowell Funeral Services, Inc.

Green, a native of Jasper County, was a member of Poplar Flat Baptist Church and a retired ICG RR maintenance foreman.

He leaves his wife, Frances Green of Louisville; a daughter, Peggy Smith of Noxapater; two sons, Johnnie Green of Richmond Hill, Ga. and Jerry Green of Mantee, Miss.; a sister, Mrs. Elmer Graham of Castra Valley, Calif.; a brother, William E. Green of Ripley and five grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Tommy Dooley, Dale McNeil, Billie Roberts, Troy Williamson, Perry Lunceford and Larry Cockrell. Honorary pallbearers were Leonard Ellis, Seward Clark, George Walker, Coot Clark, Bob Clark, Terrel Lee Arnett, Lamar Arnett and O. D. Keene.
