Rites Held For J. T. McDaniel

J. Tris McDaniel, a former resident of Franklin, died at his home in Longview Friday morning. He was 93.

Funeral services were held at 2 p. m. Saturday at Boone Prairie Church of Christ with Minister Lee Falkner officiating. Burial was in the Church Cemetery.

Mr. McDaniel was a native of Robertson County and made his home at Boone Prairie in early life. Later he moved to Franklin before going to Longview 12 years ago.

HE WAS A RETIRED farmer and carpenter and a member of the Church of Christ.

Survivors are two sons, Bruce McDaniel of Houston and Gen. Carl McDaniel of San Antonio; three daughters, Miss Ollie McDaniel and Mrs. John Hedge, both of Longview, and Mrs. A. L. Yost of Sacramento, Calif; seven grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Bill Mitchell, Joe Mitchell, Lloyd Wililams [sic Williams], Fred Maxwell, Bobby Sullivan and Charles McDaniel.
