James E. Wilhoit
James E. ``Jim'' Wilhoit, 76, of Eldon, passed away on Friday, September 23, 2011, at St. Mary's Health Center in Jefferson City.
On February 27, 1935 he was born in Rural Hall, North Carolina to the late Dale V. & Lillain (Robinson) Wilhoit. On May 15, 1993 he was married in Eldon, Missouri to Linda (Wise) Howser Wilhoit who survives of the home.
Survivors include:
James was married to Shirley Ann (Roberts) Wilhoit and she preceded him in death on May 19, 1983. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Tracy Wilhoit.
He was a veteran of the United States Army. He was employed with Union Electric as a laborer, lineman and construction supervisor retiring June 1, 1993. He was a member of the Aurora Springs Baptist Church, the Elks Lodge and former member of the Lions Club. He was scout master for Troop 14 for several years. James was an RV, camping and NASCAR enthusiast. He enjoyed music and spending time with his family and numerous friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday October 1, 2011 from 12:00 -2:00 PM at the Aurora Springs Baptist Church near Eldon, Missouri with the Memorial Service beginning at 2:00PM with Rev. John Dearing officiating.
At the family's request, memorials in lieu of flowers are suggested to the Aurora Springs Baptist Church.
His body has been cremated and private interment will be held at a later date.
