DEATHS

HUTHNANCE -- James William Huthna[n]ce, 69, died at his home in Colfax, Grant parish, La., at 9:15 p.m., Thursday, December 5, 1940. He was a native of Grant parish. He leaves his widow, Mrs. Laura Belle Huthnance; three sons, H. E. Huthnance of Woodworth, La.; E. L. Huthnance of Beaumont, Texas; C. C. Huthnance of North Carolina; two daughters, Mrs. W. H. Moreland of St. Jose [sic San Jose], Cal.; Mrs. Tommy White of Houston, Texas; one brother, Alfred Huthnance of Colfax, La.; one sister, Minnie Phillips of Montgomery, La.; and four grandchildren.

The funeral procession left the Hixson Bros., undertaking parlors in Alexandria Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock, and interment was made in the Rachal cemetery on Cane river, Natchitoches parish, at 3:30 p.m. Friday.
