Jane Emmons Wren

KEITHVILLE, LA -- Funeral services for Jane Emmons Wren will be 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, October 24, 2012 at First Baptist Church of Keithvillle with Rev. Mike Stowell, pastor, officiating. The family will receive friends from 5-8 P.M. Tuesday at Centuries Memorial Funeral Home. Interment will be in First Baptist Church of Keithville Cemetery.

Jane was born January 17, 1946 in Pleasant Hill, LA to parents Imogene (Ferguson) and Hudson Emmons and passed away October 22, 2012 at Willis-Knighton North following a lengthy illness. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Keithville and a member of the Jewell Sunday school class. Jane worked in the funeral service for many years with Rose-Neath Funeral Homes, first as an organist and then many years at Marshall Street as receptionist. Jane and her husband Sonny then opened Sonny's Seafood and Catfish Restaurant she operated for many years. Sonny and Jane also owned a peach orchard and some of her happiest moments were picking and selling their peaches.

Jane was preceded in death by her parents, Hudson and Imogene Emmons, and brother, Gary Emmons. She is survived by her husband of thirty-seven years, Roy E. “Sonny” Wren, son, Todd Johnson and wife Tonya, daughter, Traci Evans and husband Clint, sister-in-law, Linda Zander and her husband Jim and their family. Jane is also survived by her three grandsons, Cade, Stran, and Sage Johnson, two step-children, Scotty Wren and wife Salley, and Jere Wren, five step-grandchildren, Derek, Courtney, Sara, and Holly Wren, and Jarred Hayes, three Step-Great Grandchildren, niece Jamie and Family and very close friend, Peggy Marrs, and a host of relatives and friends and members of the Jewel Sunday School Class.

Pall Bearers will be Eddie Marrs, Stewart Knighton, Johnny Finney, Monjat Signh, Paul Elliott, and Charles Gholson.
