Jane Pinkston Campbell Linder
The sweet spirit of Jane Pinkston Campbell Linder will live on in the lives of her husband, children, grandchildren, and many dear friends. Jane went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, Aug. 30, 2007.
The family will receive friends at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, September 8, 2007, at First Baptist Church, 412 W. Ferguson, in the church Parlor. Services for Mrs. Linder will be held at 10:30 a.m. in the Chapel of First Baptist Church following the visitation with Rev. B.C. McCoy officiating. Burial will follow at Cathedral in the Pines under the direction of Lloyd James Funeral Home.
Jane was born on Jan. 30, 1937, to the late William Edwards and Mamie Lucille Campbell in Jackson, Miss. She married Charles Kenneth Linder on March 20, 1957. Jane was a homemaker as well as an elementary schoolteacher. She was a member of First Baptist, Tyler, for the past 36 years. She belonged to the Phoebe Sunday School Class for many years.
Jane is survived by many whom she loved dearly, her husband of 50 years; children, Naomi Palmer and husband Danny of Whitehouse, Karen Pitman and husband Brent of Tyler, Hardy Linder of Austin, Kathy Tyler and husband Jason of Bartlesville, Okla.; grandchildren, Shay Stokes, Will Palmer, Sarah and Clay Tyler; sister, Catherine Ferguson and husband Jerry of Pearl, Miss.; sister-in-law, Bobbie Anderson and husband Robert of Jasper, Ga.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers for Mrs. Linder will be Danny Palmer, Brent Pitman, Jason Tyler, Shay Stokes, Will Palmer and David Smith. Honorary pallbearers are Charles Dunn and William Edwards Campbell III.
