Janelle L. Hebert Bass
Janelle Lizette Hebert Bass, 60, of Liberty, died Feb. 28, 2007, at her residence.
Visitation is 5 to 9 tonight at Brown Funeral Home in Liberty, and 9 a.m. Friday until services there at 11. The Rev. Marvin Howard Jr. will officiate. Burial will be in New Zion Cemetery near Liberty.
Mrs. Bass was born Sept. 14, 1946, in Biloxi, to Edwin ``Shine'' Hebert and Augusta ``Gussie'' Williams Hebert.
She was a homemaker and was a member of Mount Zion Baptist Church in Smithdale.
Mrs. Bass was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Carolyn ``Doll'' Fowlkes; and one grandchild, Amanda Marie Nevels.
Survivors include her husband, Jimmie M. Bass Sr. of Liberty; one son and daughter-in-law, Bodi and Molly Bass of Smithdale; two daughters and sons-in-law, Traci and Andy Dykes of Smithdale, and Candy and Robbie Newton of Liberty; six grandchildren, Tabby Nevels, Tommy Bass, Nikki Bass, Brittany Newton, Chelbie Newton and Kathryn Dykes; one sister, Brenda Hebert Elmer of Biloxi; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Reggie and Sandra Hebert, and Mark and Mary Jo Hebert, all of Port Sulphur, La.; a special friend of the family, Kayla Bessonette of Brookhaven; one sister-in-law, Margaret Bass of Liberty; two brothers-in-law, Hansel Bass and his wife Angie of Gloster, and Roger Bass and his wife Delacy of Liberty; a special granddaughter, Jessica Bates; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Bodi Bass, Andy Dykes, Roger Sullivan,Danny Sullivan, Dusty Sullivan and John Massey Jr. Honorary pallbearer is Tommy Bass.
