Janice Talton Morgan

Janice Talton Morgan, 90, Clarksville, died Monday, June 7, 2010, at Gateway Medical Center. A celebration of life service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday at First Presbyterian Church with Dr. David Forney and Rev. Meg Flannagan officiating.

A private burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. Friday at Neal-Tarpley-Parchman funeral home.

She was born June 29, 1919 in Winnfield, Louisiana daughter of the late Arthur I. Talton, Sr. and Amma Gaar Talton.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Harry H. Morgan, Sr., a prominent Clarksville Veterinarian; daughter, Mrs. Jane Morgan Atwood; and sisters Ailene White, and Corinne Swanson.

Mrs. Morgan was an active member of First Presbyterian Church. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, the Beautification Committee for the Montgomery County Court House, the Clarksville Montgomery County Public Library Board, and the Amateur Garden Club.

Survivors include son, Harry H. Morgan, Jr., Dallas, TX; brother, Arthur I. Talton, Jr., Athens, TX., and many friends and business associates.
