Jasper Medaries Dies; Services Set For Today

Jasper L. Medaries, 64, of Grayson, brother of two Monroe men, died in a hospital here early Saturday after an illness of several years.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m., Sunday at the Crossroads Baptist Church near Grayson with the Rev. W. A. Massey officiating, assisted by Dr. W. M. Causey. Burial will follow in the church cemetery under the direction of Riser and Son Funeral Home of Columbia.

He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Mary Medaries, Grayson; three sons, Jack Medaries, Yazoo City, Miss.; Charles A. Medaries, Vidalia; John A. Medaries, Urania; three brothers, Lonnie Medaries, and Ed Medaries, both of Monroe; Wilbur Medaries, Chattannooga, Tenn.; one sister, Mrs. Ora Collins, West Monroe; three grandchildren.

The body will lie in state at the funeral home until time for services.
