Jasper S. Lusk
LUSK, JASPER S. A native and resident of Liberty, Miss., he died Friday, Dec. 24, 2004, at his home. He was 87 and a U.S. Army veteran and served in the Civilian Conservation Corps. He was a retired employee of the State of Louisiana as a security guard with the Department of Employment Security.
Visiting at Brown Funeral Home, Liberty, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday. Visiting Tuesday, Dec. 28, from 9 a.m. until funeral service at 11 a.m.
He is survived by two sons, Steven P. Lusk of Conyers, Ga., and Gregory J. Lusk of Brookhaven, Miss.; daughter, Peggy D. of Liberty; brother, Eugene Leo Lusk; sister, Dixie Lusk Shelor; four nephews; a niece; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Grady Lusk and Pinnie Freeman Lusk; brother, Floyd R. Lusk; and nephew, Randolph Lusk.

Jasper Stephen Lusk, 87, of Liberty, died Dec. 24, 2004, at his residence.
Services were 11 a.m. today at Brown Funeral Home in Liberty, with Dr. Ken Kirk officiating. Burial is in Terrell Cemetery in Liberty.
Mr. Lusk was born May 29, 1917, in Amite County. He was the son of Thomas Grady Lusk and Tennie Freeman Lusk.
He was a retired security guard with the State of Louisiana.He was a member of the Baptist faith.
Mr. Lusk was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Maggie May Bateman; one brother, Floyd R. Lusk; and a nephew, Randolph C. Lusk.
Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Stephen P.and Judy Lusk of Conyers, Ga., and Gregory J. and Kathy Lusk of Brookhaven; one daughter, Peggy D. Lusk of Liberty; one brother, Eugene Leo Lusk of Liberty; one sister, Dixie Lusk Shelor of Hot Springs, Ark.; five grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, one niece and four nephews.
Pallbearers are Robert Lusk, Tommy Lusk, Adam Lusk, Harold Tyler, Danny Shelor, Jack Terrell, Thomas Longmire and Shane Holly. Honorary pallbearer is Stephen Gregory Lusk.
