Funeral services for Jay McCarta, 29, of Gilbert, LA will be held at Young's Community Memorial Funeral Home on Friday, December 18, 2009 at 10:00 AM with Rev. Ron Ferrington officiating. Interment will follow at Providence Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Young's Community Memorial Funeral Home in Winnsboro.
Jay McCarta was born May 28, 1980 in Corpus Christi, TX and passed away Monday December 14, 2009 in Tensas Parish, LA. He was a resident of Gilbert, a Driller and Derrick hand on a land rig, and a member of the Baptist faith.

Aunt-Rhonda Kirkland and husband Kevin of Monroe, LA
Aunt-Carolyn Turner of Monroe, LA
Uncle-Randy Perkins of Monroe, LA
survived by numerous family, friends, and relatives.
The Pallbearers will be Keith Reeves, Donnie J. Temple, Matthew Easterling, Daniel Guimbellot, Wesley Boyette, and Seth Hilbun.
The Honorary Pallbearer will be Michael Southern.
The family will receive friends at Young's Community Memorial Funeral Home from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM Thursday, December 17, 2009.
