Jeffrey D. Goodwin
LELAND, La. -- Services for Jeffrey ``Jeff'' D. Goodwin, 43, of Clayton, La., who died Friday, July 16, 2004, at Riverland Medical Center in Ferriday, will be at 2 p.m., today at Leland Pentecostal Church with the Rev. Roy Archer and the Rev. Gary Howington officiating. Burial will follow at Heard Cemetery under the direction of Young's Funeral Home, Ferriday. He was a sand blaster for PBW Contracting Company and was a member of Ferriday United Pentecostal Church. He loved hunting and fishing and was locally known as "The Legend".
Mr. Goodwin was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Henry Denton Goodwin; his paternal grandmother, Dora Rowzee Goodwin; maternal grandfather, Amos Franklin.
Survivors include his wife, Becky Craft Goodwin of Ferriday; his father, Ben Anderson Goodwin of Clayton; his mother, Shirley (Franklin) Goodwin of Clayton; son, Caleb M. Goodwin of Ferriday; daughters, Courtney Goodwin and husband, Derek Sinkular of Winnsboro, La. and Jill Goodwin and husband, Ray Robinson of Winnsboro; granddaughter, Alex Sinkular of Winnsboro; step daughter, Shanna Craft of Ferriday; mother Jill and Courtney, Lisa Book of Winnsboro; sisters, Lori Snyder of Vidalia, La. and Angie Goodwin of Sicily Island, La.; maternal grandmother, Joyce Franklin of Jonesville, La.
Pallbearers will be Bobby Joe Goodwin, Andy Davis, Bill Burley, James Zeagler, Tony Lippman and Glen Lippman. Honorary pallbearers will be Mick Snyder, Bobby Davis, Steve Hedrix, David Stafford, Sonny White and Randy White.
