Mrs. Jennie Crain Succumbs Here

Funeral services for Mrs. Jennie Lee Rainer Crain, 620 West 70th street, who died at 3:15 a.m. Thursday in a local hospital, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Southside Baptist church.

The Rev. J. F. Kane, pastor, will officiate. Burial, under the direction of Rose-Neath funeral home, will follow in the Forest Park cemetery. The Order of the Eastern Star will have charge of the grave-side services.

A native of Zwolle, Mrs. Crain came to Shreveport as a child. She was a member of the Southside Baptist church and the Pelican Chapter, No. 213, Order of the Eastern Star.

Survivors include her husband, M. J. Crain; two sons, Marvin Jean of the U.S. navy, Great Lakes, Ill., and Ronald Deen of Shreveport; one daughter, Jacqueline Crain, Shreveport; her mother, Mrs. Leatha Rainer, Shreveport; six brothers, R. C., T. E., C. O., J. C. and W. L. Rainer, all of Shreveport, and W. M. Rainer of Cove, Ark.; one sister, Mrs. C. W. Hale of Sulphur, and a number of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be nephews, Buddy Rainer, J. O. Rainer, Dewey Rainer, Lloyd Rainer, J. C. Rainer, Jr., and C. W. Hale, Jr. Honorary pallbearers will be employees of the Libbey-Owens Ford Glass company.
