Funeral services for Jerrel K. “Dimple” “Papa G ” Gunter, age 78, of Transylvania, Louisiana will be 10 AM, Tuesday, July 21, 2015, at Cox Funeral Home of Oak Grove with Rev. Bill Bearden and Rev. Mike Howard officiating. Interment will be in the Oak Grove City Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Cox Funeral Home.

Visitation will be Monday from 5PM - 9PM and Tuesday from 8AM until service time at Cox Funeral Home of Oak Grove.

He is preceded in death by his parents, George Everett “Joe” Gunter and Frances Womack Gunter; grandson, Wade Bass.

Jerrel is survived by his wife, Martha Gunter of Transylvania, Louisiana; daughter and son-in-law, Teresa and James Bass of Transylvania, Louisiana; son and daughter-in-law, Wayne and Wendy Gunter of Transylvania, Louisiana; son and daughter-in-law, Tommy and Janice Gunter of Vero Beach, Florida; daughter and son-in-law, Wanda and Phillip Burch of Oak Grove, Louisiana; daughter, Karen Gunter of Brookhaven, Mississippi; daughter, Mary Hooper of Pioneer, Louisiana; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Calvin and Alline Gunter of Lake Providence, Louisiana, James Albert Gunter of Tallulah, Louisiana, John C. Gunter and Beverly of Transylvania, Louisiana; 13 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Lance Burch, Brandon Burch, Joey Hooper, Zach Hooper, Dusty Gunter, Clayton Gunter, Christopher Smith, Craig Smith, James Bass, Jonathan Gunter.

Honorary pallbearers will be Charlie Lovell, Billy Davidson, Brandon Toney, Terry Lynn Jones, Tony Dewitt, Jimmy Stuart Jr..
