Forest

Jerry White, 67, a truck driver, died of cardiac arrest Sunday, Jan. 29, 2006, at his home. Visitation is 4-7 p.m. today at Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Forest. Services are 10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with burial in Eastern Cemetery in Forest.

Mr. White had been a resident of Forest for more than 30 years, formerly living in Edinburg. Mr. White attended the Remnant Baptist Church in Sebastopol. He was an active CB enthusiast known by his CB handle as the “Aggrevator” [sic “Aggravator”] and had retired this year as a long haul truck driver for 55 years. Mr. White was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Ruby White, three brothers, Howard J. White, Rufus R. White, and Ely T. White, and one sister, Berteel Bardwell.

Survivors include: two daughters, Ruby and Jenny, both of Florida; his special friend, Ruth Cook of Forest; brother, Truman C. White of Carthage; sister, Charline Morrow of Jackson; numerous nieces and nephews; and three grandchildren.
