Jesse W. Sant, Sr.

Funeral services for Jesse W. Sant Sr., 54, of 213 Louise Anne, Monroe, were at 10 a.m. today at Malone Chapel Pentecostal Church at Ball with the Rev. Robert Coody officiating.

Burial was in the church cemetery under direction of Spears Funeral Home of Monroe.

Mr. Sant died Monday afternoon at Glenwood Hospital of an apparent heart attack.

Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Evelyn Sant of Monroe; his mother, Mrs. Mattie Corley of Monroe; four sons, Jesse W. Sant Jr. of West Monroe, George W., Paul D., and Timmy D. Sant all of Monroe; four daughters, Mrs. Juanita Whitehead, Mrs. Linda Hemphill, Miss Mary J. Sant, Miss Rose Marie Sant, all of Monroe; one step-daughter, Miss Sharon LeClair of Hagerstown, Md.; four brothers, Claude L. Sant of Monroe, William T. Sant of Hattiesburg, Miss., George W. Sant of Pollock, and Joseph E. Sant of Jackson, Miss.; four sisters, Mrs. Myrtle Manfull of Midland, Tex., Mrs. Mary Matthews of Mendenhall, Miss., Mrs. Bessie I. Appleton of Fresno, Calif., and Mrs. Bertha Miller of Hattiesburg, Miss.; one half-sister, Mrs. Ruby Kerry of Monroe; and five grandchildren.

The nephews will serve as pallbearers.
