Jesse B. Crain, Sikes Native, Dies Feb. 3

Jesse B. Crain, 62, died at 8:05 p.m. Thursday, February 2, 1967 in an Alexandria hospital. He was a maintenance engineer at Camp Windywood, a member of the Friendship Baptist Church of Fishville, and a native of Sikes. He was a resident of Pollock.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday in Hixson Brothers Funeral Home Chapel in Alexandria. Burial was in Forest Lawn Memorial Park.

Survivors include his wife, Gladys Brand Crain; a son, Charles Crain of Alpine City; two daughters, Mrs. Weetona C. Daily of Redondo Beach, Calif., and Mrs. Ina Mae C. Tritle of Pineville; three brothers, Sidney T. Crain of Baker, Hansord Crain of Fresno, Calif., and Johnnie Crain of Pineville; five sisters, Mrs. Eula C. Parker of Sikes, Mrs. Lea C. Wood of Pineville, Mrs. Edna C. Miller of Kelly, and Mrs. Eva C. Carroll and Mrs. Ruby C. Gunn, both of Bentley; and nine grandchildren.
