Jesse McDaniel

Funeral services for Jesse D. McDaniel, 82, of Calhoun, were at 10 a.m. today at First Baptist Church of Calhoun with the Rev. C. W. Aswell officiating, assisted by the Rev. Frank Smith.

Burial was in Twin City Memorial Gardens under the direction of Kilpatrick's Funeral Home of West Monroe.

Mr. McDaniel died at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Francis Hospital after a long illness.

Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Jesse D. McDaniel of Calhoun; two daughters, Mrs. Mary L. Yeldell of Calhoun and Mrs. Ovie Clack of Rayville; five sons, J. N. McDaniel, I. D. McDaniel, both of Baltimore, Md., Irvin McDaniel of Calhoun, Gerald McDaniel of Monroe and Louis D. McDaniel of Fort Worth, Texas; four sisters, Mrs. Mary Johnson of West Monroe, Mrs. Eula Simpson of Bossier City, Mrs. Pearl Williams and Mrs. Alvie Foster, both of Calhoun; three brothers, J. A. McDaniel, Fred McDaniel, both of Downsville, and Cleve McDaniel of Calhoun; 10 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Jame Calk, Eugene Calk, James McDaniel, Charles McDaniel, Raymond Estep and the Rev. Don Roberts.

The body will be at the funeral home until one hour before services.
