J. F. Grice of Robeline Buried At Old Union
Funeral services were held Tuesday, January 20, 1953, for J. F. Grice, 80, of
Robeline, at 2:30 p.m. in the Old Union Church at Joyce. Rev. Harrison
Cockerham officiated at the service. Interment was in the Old Union Cemetery
with Southern Funeral Home in charge.
The deceased was born in Winn Parish on Oct. 17, 1874. He is survived by his
wife, Mrs. Martha Grice, of Robeline and five daughters and one son. The
daughters are Mrs. Lee Pinder, Mrs. Rabie Ingles, Mrs. Eunice Bolton,
Winnfield, Mrs. Nancy Barrett, Oak Grove, and Miss May Grice, Robeline.
The son is Jesse James Grice, Robeline. Two sisters, Mrs. Geneva Bedgood,
Mrs. Elizabeth Atkins, and two brothers, Bud Grice and William Grice of
Winnfield, fifteen grandchildren and one great grandchild also survive.
