Word was received here on Friday of the death of Jesse Garland at Hope, Arkansas at one in the morning. Death followed an operation for gall stones. T.M. Garland and Miss Rose Garland left immediately for Hope. Mr. Garland was about 57 years old and is survived by the widow who was his second wife and by 5 children. He visited here last summer.
