Ward 6 Farmer Buried Monday

Jesse Jackson Wade of ward six died Sunday morning, Oct. 27, in a Monroe hospital after a brief illness at the age of 68.

Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m. at the Old Hebron Baptist church on the Grayson-Sikes road on Monday, with the Rev. A. A. Calhoun of Columbia in charge.

Interment was made in the nearby cemetery under the direction of the Riser and Son Funeral Home of Columbia.

Mr. Wade had been engaged in farming most of his life and had resided in the southwest section of Caldwell parish for quite a few years.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Lela Wade of ward six, and a brother, Fritz Wade of Monroe.
