KENSETT -- Word was received here of the death of J. J. Boyett, 80, of Little Rock, Ark., Nov. 26. He was the father of Monroe and Emery Boyett of Kensett. His birthday was the day before his death.
Mr. Boyett had made his home with a daughter, Mrs. A. D. Henry. Mr. Boyett and wife who died five years ago moved to Kensett from their native Thornburg, Ark. when their children were young. He became engaged in road building in this area when earth moving machinery was operated by mule power in contrast with the diesel equipment owned and operated by the Boyett Construction Co. today.
Later, Mr. Boyett engaged in business in Kensett for a time. About 15 years ago, the couple returned to Little Rock, Ark., to make their home.
Funeral arrangements were incomplete when Mr. and Mrs. Monroe Boyett and Mrs. Emery Boyett left for Little Rock. Burial was at Thornburg beside his wife and infant child.
