Jessie V. T. Thornton

Funeral services for Jessie Van T. Thornton, 19, of 1031 Old Brandon Road, will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. from the Baldwin Funeral Home Chapel, with Dr. Kermit Canterbury officiating, with interment in Pearson Cemetery.

Mr. Thornton died Sunday after a[n] auto accident. He was a native of Jackson and had lived in the Pearl community all of his life. He was a welder and painter for the Central Welding Company.

He is survived by his stepfather P. D. Strong of Jackson; maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. C. B. Garrett of Jackson.
