JESSIE EUVILLE CATES

CATES, JESSIE EUVILLE, age 97 of Bessemer, Al. (Morgan Community) where she lived nearly 70 years, passed away on November 22, 2011. A native of Bibb County, Al she was preceded in death by her parents, L.L. and Estelle Jackson, her husband James Cates, Sr., brothers; Berlie Jackson, Bill Jackson, sisters; Lucille Smitherman and Texas Smitherman.

She is survived by sons; Jimmy (Mildred) Cates of Bessemer. and Luke (Bonnie) Cates of Tuscaloosa, her grandchildren; Danny (Sheila) Cates of Montevallo, Barbara (Bruce) Blackwell of Alabaster, Chip (Sara-Margaret) Cates, Cindy (Brennon) Lake of Northport and Natalie (Chad) Cain of Huntsville, her sisters; Edna Dial of Centreville, Pearl Thomas of Adger, Lindy (Floyd) Helton of Randolph and nine great-grandchildren.

Graveside Services will be held at Hopewell Church of God of Prophecy Cemetery Bessemer, Alabama on Friday, November 25, 2011 at 2 p.m. Rev. William Pritchett and Rev. Joey Mojica will be officiating.

Pallbearers will be Danny Cates, Chip Cates, Brennon Lake, Bruce Blackwell, Eddie Dial, and Jessie Blackwell.
