Jessie Hunton was born Jan. 26, 1911, daughter of Jesse Byron and Willie May Hunter Pittenger, early Fort Worth settlers. Kay and Robert ``Bob'' Coke Hunton Jr. were married April 26, 1954. She was preceded in death by Bob, 1907-1993, and her only sister, Alice Pittenger Randolph Trent, 1913-2000. Kay gave of herself in many delightful ways. Though she had no children, she became grandmother and mother to many young people who touched her life. She was a caring neighbor and kept an avid interest in her community and world. She owned and ran the Dairy Queen at Abrams Road and Skillman in Dallas and volunteered at the Fort Worth Children's Hospital in the '60s, indicating her love and concern for young people. Kay loved animals, horses, dogs and her dearest love, cats. She rescued many and all that needed help. Her friends and animals will miss her greatly.
