Jessie Lou McCarty
Services for Jessie Lou McCarty, age 70, of Tullos will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 12, 2005 from the Urania Pentecostal Church in Urania with the Rev. Rodney Begnaud and the Rev. Elzie Johnson officiating. Interment will follow in the Beech Creek Cemetery in Winn Parish under the direction of Riser Funeral Home of Olla.
Mrs. McCarty was born in Urania on Feb. 2, 1935 to the union of Jessie Burl and Pearl Doyle Allbritton and died Thursday, Feb. 10, 2005 at her residence.
She was a homemaker and owner of Lou's Crafts and Silk. She was also a member of the Urania Pentecostal Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Wiston Arlos McCarty; and her son, Jesse Lee McCarty.
Survivors include her eight children, Howard McCarty and Randy McCarty, both of Tullos, Terry McCarty of West Monroe, Deanie Lofton of Urania, Herman McCarty of Grayson, Sherman McCarty of Bossier City, Sandra Clingan of Tullos and Wiston ``Pete'' McCarty of Summerville; her brother, Earl Allbritton of Lawton, Okla.; her sisters, Edith Blackshear, Ethel Shankles and Nelda Allbritton, all of Tullos, Bettye Jo Sanderfer of Jena and Pearl LaCour of Bossier City; 16 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Lawson Weaver, Joe Sanderfer, James Allbritton, Jacob Lofton, Brian McCarty, Arlos McCarty and Andy Roberts.
Visitation will be Friday from 5 p.m. until time of services Saturday at the Urania Pentecostal Church.
